Cell Biology

The Department of Cell Biology combines a leading role in research and teaching in molecular life sciences. Closely associated to the Department is the Microscopic Imaging Centre and the Preclinical Imaging Centre, state-of-the-art facilities and service centres for imaging of biological specimens in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo. The department has a staff of about forty employees.

Interests include:

  • cancer metastasis
  • cellular metabolism
  • cellular immunity
  • neurodegenerative disease
